Skill Tree is a legacy tool and best suited for projects that require simple, small-scale skill trees.

What Does This Mean?

To put it simply, Skill Tree will still be around and may work on certain projects, but it will not be receiving any new features. It may still receive bug fixes.

Why Is It Legacy?

Skill Tree was limiting in many ways and would have required a complete rebuild to overcome. Rather than retrofitting it, I chose to develop a new tool from the ground up—.

While Skill Tree was originally a paid asset, it’s now free, as future development efforts will be focused entirely on Skill Web. I had initially considered removing Skill Tree from the Asset Store but ultimately decided to keep it available as a free option for simpler use cases.

Alternative

For a more robust and flexible solution, consider using instead.

Please note that Skill Web is not an upgrade or a new version of this asset. It represents a fundamentally different approach to building skill trees—from the editor tools and API structure to the overall list of features. If you're considering switching, it's strongly recommended to review the key differences to ensure it aligns with your project's needs.
